The key to Missing Number Comics (the site, not the comic Missing Number: Adventures in Glitch City) was always to encourage Pokemon themed comics, and really good gaming comics in general.  As such, we always attempted to make our comic translation-friendly!  We have a text-free version of art for every comic (sometimes, due to bad archiving, the speech bubbles are permanent…), just ripe for the translating and remixing.

We’ve always used the Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-Share Alike License, Some Rights Reserved.  Attribution because it takes many days to produce a story, art, and final graphics, Non Commercial because we don’t want Nintendo to sue us (and it would bum us out if somebody else was making the bucks while we got in trouble! ), and Share Alike because we strongly believe that the Internet is awesome because people give their stuff away and make their money through advertising/donations/birth.
