Bounding Boxes
This is the absolute first comic ever planned for Missing Number, way back when it was called “The Dukes of Gaming.”
DON’T ASK
I think we pulled off the characters quite well this week. And we’ve got some neat backdrops as well.
The colorist thought this one turned out really well, despite his meddling. Actually, he pulled off the backgrounds, which really make this comic.
The inker got a little bit of help, and I think we’ll have two inkers from now on. Which is a prospect that our inker takes with great joy, as doing the pixel pushing is quite mind numbing.
This late update was my fault… (the sketcher and webmaster)… my phone was turned off. Heh. Heh. Heh.
Quench our thirst so we can make more comics! ($2.50 for a 6-pack, $5 for a 12)View Transcript
The Titanic drifts silently across the Atlantic. Suddenly, the still silence is broken with a cry. “ICEBERG! RIGHT AHEAD!”
Down on the bridge, Captain Smith turns to the helmsman. “HARD ASTERN!” he shouts.
The Titanic turns, avoiding the iceberg.
First Officer Murdock runs onto the Bridge. “We completely missed the iceberg, Captain Smith!”
“Whew.” Replied the Captain.
Chris and David are standing at a museum exhibit for the Titanic. David is in lecture mode: “But, you see… they still clipped the iceberg’s BOUNDING BOX! Back then, they didn’t have PIXEL PERFECT COLLISION DETECTION, so…”
Chris rolls his eyes. “DAVE! For the last time! THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A BOUNDING BOX! Can we PLEASE go home now?”
Fast Forward on the Interstate. Chris’ Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme is wrecked in front of a unfazed mailbox. Chris is *peeved*. “WHAT THE?!?! I wasn’t even CLOSE to the mailbox!”
David wiggles his fingers at Chris. “OoOoHhH! No such thing as a BOUNDING BOX, eh?”
