How David Met Chris 5

Back to business!  We continue the prequel-adventures of Chris and David as they find their way to their fateful collision.

Who’s that making a cameo in the comic, in the first frame?  Why, that’s HomestarRunnerTron from YouTube, the person responsible for Missing Number’s Official YouTube Video.  If you have not seen it, Watch it now.  If you do not, Captain T-Kachu, the Pirate Pikachu, will not be pleased.

On the website front, we’ve got a new, updated, spiffy vector-type logo in our title box at the top of the page.  It’s not much of a change… actually, come to think of it, it’s quite a leap in quality from our old logo (which is nearly a year old now!  As the logo existed before the comic…).

Also we have a new affiliate, The Lonely Soda Bottle. Click their link if you want to take a look.  It’s a new contender in the international webcomic market.  Yet another friend of Missing Number!  Speaking of which, if you would like to affiliate, contact Shawn at MissingNumberComics dot com, and we’ll see what we can do!

Hmm… anything else?  Oh, yes.  New sprites:

Deputy JennyNurse JoyHSRT

What’s with the size difference?  Jenny and Joy are Diamond/Pearl sprites, whereas HomeStarRunnerTron is a Ruby/Sapphire/FireRed/LeafGreen sprite.  Over the next couple of weeks we’ll be upgrading some sprites to Diamond/Pearl style.  We call them… Sprites:  The Next Generation.  Catchy, no?  We think so.  It takes a LONG time to do these sprites right… so superkudos to Chris for his efforts (He also made the “overworld” sprites for the second frame of this comic.)

Anything else?  No, not really.  Sign up for our RSS feed if you want up to date messages about our updates :D   (Especially since it’s not too regular…).  And… if you want to accomplish things in life, avoid Guitar Hero.  Really.  If you’re not planning on dedicating the rest of your life to playing that game, just stay away!  We’ve spent too much time on Guitar Hero…

Quench our thirst so we can make more comics! ($2.50 for a 6-pack, $5 for a 12)

Chris continues his story.

“I explained my dilemma to an on duty Pokemon Stadium deputy I saw talking to a trainee Pokemon nurse on the main concourse.” He found Deputy Jenny and Trainee Nurse Joy standing in front of the Dr. Peppy advertisement. Of all the various passerby in the hallway, the most interesting had to be the Pokemon Trainer with the Pikachu waring the Pirate Hat… Captain T-Kachu.

Chris continues… “She lead me to the Cornerian Express.” The Cornerian Express was a large Space Shuttle-looking ship. Chris climbed aboard and took a seat behind a suspicious looking anthropomorphic fox with sunglasses and a beat up white flight jacket.

Within moments, the rockets roared in very shortly the Cornerian Express too off from the Kanto Spaceport and found itself in Standard Orbit around Earth.
