I’m Just A Bill 2
Oh, for the love of Pete. We’re not a superstitious lot (EDITORS NOTE: Yes, we have become a very supersitious lot.), but perhaps Missing Number was an unlucky name? Have we had enough issues getting this comic done? I was a bit too optimistic last week when I published Virus Alert. Not only did the removal of the viruses not help much, but more exciting things have come up. Our colorist just got a new job up in Plano (an hour away), and the sketch artist’s software company has geared up for a major software release, sucking out all available time from the whole team.
Therefore we DIDN’T get this comic out before the next. Instead, we decided to make this one our regular update.
We will vigorously endeavor to have this comic published every Saturday, on time. This IS our spare time project; alas, the spare time isn’t always there.
However, once the product is launched and the job is started, with luck, things will settle back down.

P.S. We spent FOREVER trying to get Master Chief to look right; however, none of us over here at Missing Number HQ play Halo (EDITORS NOTE: We do now!), so we had to rely on screencaps from the Internet. Every iteration of Master Chief got better… but in total, we spent more time on MASTER CHIEF than the REST OF THE FRAMES COMBINED! How funny is that? We heard no end of complaints from our colorist that he had to recolor and shade Master Chief yet again…

A Shadowy Figure appeared across the street. Releasing his pent up rage, Bill shouted, “KEN!!!!!!”
David shook some of the water off him from the lobbed waterballoons. “Who?” he asked.
“Ken,” stated Bill, “Owner of the Playstation Imperium, and my SWORN ARCH NEMESIS!” Ken stood across the street, tossing a water balloon in his hand, a smirk on his face.
Shaking his fist high in the air, Bill yelled, “You think you’ve won, eh? *WELL YOU HAVE NOT!* There’s only room for ***ONE ULTIMATE DICTATOR of GAMING!***”
David looked worriedly at Bill. “Ultimate dictator?” he asked.
“Er,” started Bill, shaking off water, “heh. You think you could forget I said that? We were talking about your shop.” Bill glanced dangerously down the street. “Don’t worry about HIM, though! I’ll have my ‘Boys’ go and ‘take care’ of him LATER.”
LATER THAT EVENING, in a bunker…
Master Chief walked in front of a group of assembled SPARTAN troops. “Red team! Blue team!” he began. “We have a new mission from His Excellency at HIGH COMMAND. We’ll have to work together on this one!”
