Vulpix Come Home 7

This one took much longer than it should.  You would think by the time we hit issue 19 we’d have the process down pat?  Of course not!

We even had some issues with backgrounds.  The sketch artist didn’t make the layout of the land clear… so the backdrops were flipped around!  Made for some impossible situations (like Jessie and James seemingly walking through a solid wall!)

The other reason for the delay is this:  the new site for Missing Number!  We have officially rolled over to Version 2 (even though it’s still in beta).

Some of the new features of Comics Engine 2* can be found on the Comics Engine 2 page.  Look it up.  Leave comments!  Subscribe to our feed!

Enjoy this issue;  we’re already in production with the next issue of Missing Number, and target for our official post date of Saturday Evening.

* Editor’s Note:  We no longer use Comics Engine 2, so there is no Comics Engine 2 page.  Thank you come again!

Quench our thirst so we can make more comics! ($2.50 for a 6-pack, $5 for a 12)

“Some great idea of yours, *James!*” shouts Jessie, dressed up as Officer Jenny, all the way to the police cap with a golden “R” on the brim.

“It’s worked so far, hasn’t it?” asks James, dressed up as Nurse Joy, complete with hair hoops. “Besides, this gag went over *great* in episode 147!”

“But this plan _***FAILED***_ in Episode 147!!!” shouts Jessie, exasperated.

“Oh…” says James.

“Lets get this over with…” sighs Jessie, accepting the situation. James just smiles, clutching a happy Vulpix in his arms.

“Just gotta get around this corner,” says Jessie, warming up to the plan again. “Then it’s home free to Rocket HQ, and our old jobs!” James smiles at that, and Vulpix is happy as well.

Jessie and James (Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy) walk around the corner, trying to act as non-shelant as possible as they pass by three Officers Jenny enjoying the Police Convention. Suddenly the radio squacks, and the announcement from Officer Jenny (Glitch City) comes through.

“… Goes by the name ‘Vulpix.’” finishes the Radio call.

Hearing her name, they happy Vulpix in James’ arms cries out it’s name in joy. “Vulpix!”

Two of the three Officers Jenny look at the retreating backs of Team Rocket. James is barely able to keep control of his fear as Jessie looks worriedly back at the group of cops…
