Vulpix Come Home 8

This one gave us trouble as well.  We had the first 3 rows of frames completed early, but we all thought the punchline was missing… something.  About Wednesday, Shawn had an inspiration and drew the final two frames, setting off the schedule for the entire weeks worth of production!

The background for the last two frames were fun to do.

EDIT:  My bad!  I said that this was the last issue in the Vulpix Come Home series… I was wrong!  We have the final one in production, and it will come up next week (Technically, this WAS the last week for Vulpix Come Home… for me, that is, as I’m sketching the next one as we speak… type… read.)

(Also, we were distracted by GameStop’s Pokemon tourney this Saturday.  Check out our (miserably failing) experience On our Blog.

Editors Note:  We currently don’t have a blog anymore!  But the tourney was fun.

Quench our thirst so we can make more comics! ($2.50 for a 6-pack, $5 for a 12)

One of the Officers Jenny walks over to Team Rocket. “Officers Jenny! They found the missing Vulpix!” Jessie sets a hard look on her face as James nearly breaks down in fear of getting caught.

Vulpix is happy.

Officer Jenny walks next to Jessie. “How did you find her?” she asks, gestruing to their radio. “We JUST got the call!”

“Er, well…” starts Jessie, trying to come up with something, and getting no help from James. Officer Jenny looks at them curiously… then, noticing something amiss…

“HEY!” shouts Officer Jenny. “YOU DON’T LOOK LIKE A JENNY!” A second later, the truth sinks in. “It’s TEAM ROCKET!”

“They’re onto us!” shouts Jessie. “We don’t even have time for our motto! There’s only one thing left to do…”

Jessie and James make an about face and run as fast as they can, startling the Officers Jenny. “It looks like Team Rocket’s Blasting Off AGAIN!”

The Officers Jenny attempt to regroup. One reaches into her purse and grabs a Pokeball. “It’s your turn, Growlithe!”

A few miles away, Jessie and James (their costumes falling apart) hide behind a shop, gazing around the corner at Officer Jenny and her Growlithe, tracking them down. “WELL THAT WAS CLOSE!” shouts Jessie to James. “So, JAMES! We lost VULPIX! NOW what are we going to give the Boss?!?”

They hear a soft cough behind them. Turning around, they see Steve, a middle height man in black turtleneck sweater and bluejeans. “Why not give him an iPhone?” he asks, holding up the one device that’s just as hot in the OhNo region as everywhere else.
